As you are aware, Wangee Park School was non-operational on Thursday 29 July, 2021 for the on-site attendance of staff, students and visitors as a precaution due to a possible case of COVID-19. NSW Health have now confirmed that a student at our school has tested positive to COVID-19.
The NSW Department of Education and NSW Health have been working closely to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained. This work has included identifying close contacts of the confirmed case and communicating directly with them regarding their requirement to self-isolate.
The students and staff identified as close contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period.
The school has been thoroughly cleaned and our school will be operational from Friday 30 July, 2021 for any child who is unable to learn from home.
The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.
